Me and My MISTI

DH and I had a wedding anniversary a couple of weeks ago and I cleverly managed to wangle myself a wonderful new crafting tool - a MISTI. Have you heard of these? MISTI stands for Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented - and I'm tending to agree, I have to say.

What does it do? Well, I'm going to put a couple of videos here for you to look at and see just what it does; there's a little repetition of information, but each video also gives unique ideas on what to use the tool for, so it's worth watching both.

Uh huh, see what I mean? And remember, Christmas is coming...

Thanks for dropping in.

Vintage Roses

A dear friend lost her mother recently and naturally I wanted to make her a card. I incorporated a number of things I know she likes - black and white, purple, and roses. Here's my card:

Materials used:

  • stamps - Vintage Roses (Altenew), Baby Blossoms (SU), Wetlands (SU)
  • card - whisper white, Pop of Pink dsp
  • inks - Altenew
  • other - black satin ribbon, MISTI, Dimensionals

I also stamped a rose on the inside. Thanks for stopping by.

Three for Him

The blokes are once again the focus of our class cards and I had a ton of fun playing with inks and cute little critters.

Our first card uses a wonderfully versatile embossing folder with some sponging - and you know how much I love getting inky.

Materials used:
  • stamps - Places You'll Go, Traveler
  • card - marina mist, wild wasabi, very vanilla
  • other - World traveler embossing folder, Big Shot, sponges, 32mm and 35 mm circle punches, Dimensionals

This next card is one that caught my eye the second I first saw it on Pinterest, and then every time I saw it again, until I finally had to have a go myself. And I'm glad I did, because I love it.

Materials used:
  • stamps - Guy Greetings
  • card - crumb cake, night of navy, very vanilla
  • other - sponges, aqua painter, woodland embossing folder, Big Shot, Dimensionals

And last but by no means least, a card I personally think is just adorable that makes me smile every time I look at it. This one will especially please Jenny, who LOVES frogs!

Materials used:
  • stamps - Love You Lots (hostess), Labeler Alphabet
  • card - cucumber crush, whisper white, in colour patterned paper, watercolour
  • other - 32mm and 35mm circle punches, aqua painter, Dimensionals

With my stamp camp approaching fast, I've been ultra-busy making projects and shoebox cards for that, so there's plenty to show you coming up.

Thanks for stopping by.
